Team ACT Prepares for World Triathlon Multisport Championships in Townsville

Seventy-two athletes from the ACT community are gearing up to represent our region on the world stage at the World Triathlon Multisport Championships in Townsville this month. The event, running from 14 – 25 August 2024, promises to be one of the largest sporting events ever hosted in Townsville, bringing together over 3,000 competitors from nearly 30 countries.
These athletes will compete across 19 World Championship races, spanning categories such as Age Group, Para triathletes, Junior, Under 23, and Elites. As part of the host nation’s delegation, our ACT athletes will join over 1,000 members of Team Australia, showcasing their dedication and hard work on this international platform.
At ACT Triathlon, we pride ourselves on fostering a strong, community-centered approach to the sport. Our athletes’ participation in such a prestigious event reflects the strength and spirit of our local triathlon community. We extend our best wishes to all ACT members as they embark on this incredible journey, representing not just their own ambitions, but the collective pride of our entire region.
