The Jackie Fairweather Memorial Triathlon graced the capital with a display of endurance and competitive spirit, set against the backdrop of an easing heatwave that left Canberra basked in perfect triathlon conditions. Athletes were greeted by the inviting waters of the lake and the neatly trimmed grass, setting the stage for what was to be an unforgettable day of racing.
The bike course stood out with its technical demands, requiring athletes to remain vigilant through the sharp half-turns and deceptive undulations. It was a true test of skill and endurance, challenging even the most seasoned cyclists. Meanwhile, the run course offered a picturesque journey around Black Mountain Peninsula.
