\nRace Description\n\nWelcome to the Capital Duathlon\, your journey comme
nces on the renowned Rob de Castella Cross Country track. The Super Sprint
\, Sprint\, and Standard categories have unique running routes:\n\n Super
Sprint participants will undertake a modified lap of 1km as outlined in t
he race guide.\n Sprint competitors will complete a single 2.5km lap.\n
Standard participants will engage in a challenging 5km course\, consisting
of two laps.\n\n\n\nUpon concluding the final lap\, all competitors will
progress towards the transition area through the double gate. In the trans
ition area\, an immediate right turn\, followed by a left turn\, will lead
you to your bike rack.\n\n\n\nConduct your transition diligently\, touchi
ng your bike only after your helmet is securely fastened. Follow the flow
of racks\, turning right at the end and moving towards the bike exit. Proc
eed to the mount line and mount your bike beyond this line.\n\nAs you leav
e the venue\, everyone will follow the same direction off the criterium tr
ack\, onto Dave McInness Road\, past the leisure centre\, through the firs
t roundabout\, and at the second roundabout\, follow the normal traffic fl
ow to the left.\n\n\n\nSuper Sprint will then cover a 4.3km stretch down U
riarra Road before executing a U-turn and returning to the transition area
via the opposite side of the road.\n\nSprint and Standard will venture fu
rther down Uriarra Road\, for 9.3km (Sprint) and 9.6km (Standard) respecti
vely from the entry to Stromlo Forest Park. This part of the course presen
ts a wonderful view of Canberra's bushland not often seen from the city\,
amidst a gently undulating countryside.\n\nSprint cyclists will execute th
eir U-turn first\, and then head back towards the transition area using th
e other lane. Standard will continue an additional 400m before making thei
r U-turn.\n\nUpon returning\, Super Sprint and Sprint will proceed directl
y back into Stromlo Forest Park and into the transition area\, while Stand
ard are required to complete another lap of Uriarra Road\, repeating the p
reviously undertaken route.\n\nUpon re-entry into the park\, all racers wi
ll be directed to transition via a left and then right turn. Dismount your
bike before crossing the dismount mat and proceed straight ahead. Take a
right turn into the transition area (the same entry used for the run)\, tu
rning sharply right to reach the rack line. Secure your bike\, then contin
ue along the racks and take a left towards the run exit.\n\nOnce again\, y
ou'll find yourself on the cross country track. Super Sprint will complete
one 2.5km lap\, Sprint will tackle two laps totalling 5km\, and Standard
will finish with four laps for a full 10km. Upon rounding the last bend of
your final lap\, set your sights on the finish line to complete the race.

n\nRace Description\nThe Jackie Fairweather Memorial Triathlon offers thre
e distinct race categories. The Sprint Triathlon consists of a 750m swim\,
a 20km bike ride\, and a 5km run. The Super Sprint Triathlon has particip
ants swimming 250m\, biking 10km\, and running 2.5km. Meanwhile\, the Aqua
bike category involves a 750m swim followed by a 20km bike ride\, but no r
unning.\n\nFor the start swimming leg\, everyone begins in the shallow wat
er. Super Sprint participants will swim towards a buoy 125m away\, circle
it\, and then head back to the shore. Those in the Sprint and Aquabike cat
egories will navigate a slightly longer course\, moving past more buoys to
complete a 750m distance. After swimming\, participants make their way to
the transition area to grab their bikes.\n\nOnce on their bikes\, racers
will head out of Black Mountain Peninsula\, turning left onto Lady Denman
Drive. Super Sprint bikers will make a turn at the rowing ramp car park\,
while Sprint and Aquabike participants will continue further to the cultur
al center car park before making their turn. Everyone will then ride towar
ds the city along Lady Denman Drive. A U-turn awaits all at the parkway ex
it ramp\, leading them back west towards Black Mountain Peninsula. As they
cycle south to a point on the peninsula\, a roundabout guides them northw
ard again. Passing an entry road will mark the completion of one lap. Supe
r Sprinters will complete two such laps\, totalling 10km\, while Sprint a
nd Aquabike participants will do three laps\, totalling 20km. After their
respective distances\, bikers return to the transition area to either sta
rt their run or\, for Aquabike participants\, finish their race.\n\nThe ru
nning segment sees Aquabike racers finishing their race without a run. How
ever\, Super Sprint participants will follow a footpath loop around the ba
se of the peninsula\, running north to an entry point and then making a U-
turn to come back. After a total of 2.5km\, they'll cross the finish line.
Sprint racers will take on this path twice\, completing a total of 5km be
fore their triumphant finish.\n2024 Australian Age Group Multisport and Tr

urney commences on the renowned Rob de Castella Cross Country track. The S
uper Sprint\, Sprint\, and Standard categories have unique running routes:
\n\n Super Sprint participants will undertake a modified lap of 1km as ou
tlined in the race guide.\n Sprint competitors will complete a single 2.5
km lap.\n Standard participants will engage in a challenging 5km course\,
consisting of two laps.\n\n\n\nUpon concluding the final lap\, all compet
itors will progress towards the transition area through the double gate. I
n the transition area\, an immediate right turn\, followed by a left turn\
, will lead you to your bike rack.\n\n\n\nConduct your transition diligent
ly\, touching your bike only after your helmet is securely fastened. Follo
w the flow of racks\, turning right at the end and moving towards the bike
exit. Proceed to the mount line and mount your bike beyond this line.\n\n
As you leave the venue\, everyone will follow the same direction off the c
riterium track\, onto Dave McInness Road\, past the leisure centre\, throu
gh the first roundabout\, and at the second roundabout\, follow the normal
traffic flow to the left.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nSuper Sprint will then cover
a 4.3km stretch down Uriarra Road before executing a U-turn and returning
to the transition area via the opposite side of the road.\n\nSprint and St
andard will venture further down Uriarra Road\, for 9.3km (Sprint) and 9.6
km (Standard) respectively from the entry to Stromlo Forest Park. This par
t of the course presents a wonderful view of Canberra's bushland not often
seen from the city\, amidst a gently undulating countryside.\n\nSprint cy
clists will execute their U-turn first\, and then head back towards the tr
ansition area using the other lane. Standard will continue an additional 4
00m before making their U-turn.\n\nUpon returning\, Super Sprint and Sprin
t will proceed directly back into Stromlo Forest Park and into the transit
ion area\, while Standard are required to complete another lap of Uriarra
Road\, repeating the previously undertaken route.\n\nUpon re-entry into th
e park\, all racers will be directed to transition via a left and then rig
ht turn. Dismount your bike before crossing the dismount mat and proceed s
traight ahead. Take a right turn into the transition area (the same entry
used for the run)\, turning sharply right to reach the rack line. Secure y
our bike\, then continue along the racks and take a left towards the run e
xit.\n\nOnce again\, you'll find yourself on the cross country track. Supe
r Sprint will complete one 2.5km lap\, Sprint will tackle two laps totalli
ng 5km\, and Standard will finish with four laps for a full 10km. Upon rou

 f a 750m swim\, a 20km bike ride\, and a 5km run. The Super Sprint Triathl
on has participants swimming 250m\, biking 10km\, and running 2.5km. Meanw
hile\, the Aquabike category involves a 750m swim followed by a 20km bike
ride\, but no running.\n\nFor the start swimming leg\, everyone begins in
the shallow water. Super Sprint participants will swim towards a buoy 125m
away\, circle it\, and then head back to the shore. Those in the Sprint a
nd Aquabike categories will navigate a slightly longer course\, moving pas
t more buoys to complete a 750m distance. After swimming\, participants ma

r to the cultural center car park before making their turn. Everyone will
then ride towards the city along Lady Denman Drive. A U-turn awaits all at
the parkway exit ramp\, leading them back west towards Black Mountain Pen
insula. As they cycle south to a point on the peninsula\, a roundabout gui
des them northward again. Passing an entry road will mark the completion o
f one lap. Super Sprinters will complete two such laps\, totalling 10km\,
while Sprint and Aquabike participants will do three laps\, totalling 20
km. After their respective distances\, bikers return to the transition are
a to either start their run or\, for Aquabike participants\, finish their
race.\n\nThe running segment sees Aquabike racers finishing their race wit
hout a run. However\, Super Sprint participants will follow a footpath loo
p around the base of the peninsula\, running north to an entry point and t
hen making a U-turn to come back. After a total of 2.5km\, they'll cross t
he finish line. Sprint racers will take on this path twice\, completing a
total of 5km before their triumphant finish.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n2025 Australian
